NILES, Mich. - For the first time in school history, the Niles Vikings are playing for a regional championship, and community support is at a fever pitch.
The Vikings are coming off wins of their first Wolverine Conference Championship and first district title. Friday night, the team is playing for their first Regional Championship in school history.
In anticipation of the game, ABC57's Allison Hayes caught up with former player Scott Zavitz, a 33-year member of Niles Chain Gang, to talk about the bond he's formed with former teammates and what makes the Niles team so special to the community.
