System snow flies through the area early this morning but mostly wraps up before rush hour. Expect slippery roads and pockets of low visibility on your way to work or school, especially in southeastern Michiana. Lake effect snow develops in the late morning, periodically producing scattered snow showers the rest of today. Highs climb to the mid 30s just barely above freezing, temporarily ending our bitterly cold stretch. Mostly cloudy skies and lows in the bottom of the 20s take over tonight. Friday starts off quietly with a bit of sunshine, but a rain/snow mix develops in the evening and brings messy conditions overnight. Our area will see an eventual transition back to just snow Saturday morning with more lake effect snow showers expected the rest of the weekend.
Today: Snow showers. High 34.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 22.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 36.
Saturday: AM snow showers. High 32.
