SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Fighting Irish took the field this afternoon is the annual blue gold game, providing a valuable opportunity for the team to get some game action before summer workouts begin.
Following the scrimmage coach Freeman spoke to the media and expressed satisfaction with the recent scrimmage, noting no injuries and strong performances on both offense and defense.
He plans to focus on play situations and two-minute drills in the next few practices and q quarterbacks showed promise, with three capable of leading the team.
