ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - ABC57 Kickoff host Allison Hayes had the honor of emceeing the 2023 Knute Rockne Spirit Awards, celebrating members of the community who carry Rockne’s passion and spirit in their own field.
This year, the Rockne Living Legend Award was given to Thom Gatewood, class of 1972.
Other honorees include:
- Kevin Corrigan, NCAA champion men's lacrosse coach
- Jack Nolan, retired long-time ND broadcaster
- Larry Dwyer, assistant director of Notre Dame bands
- Missy Conboy, ND senior deputy athletic director
- Michael Leep Sr., South Bend businessman and philanthropist
- Jim "Augie" Augustine, curator of Notre Dame collectibles
