South Bend continues their energy assistance and solar savings for the fifth consecutive year
South Bend Common Council SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Energy and Solar Saving Initiative (EASSI) will continue its efforts to complete energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for the fifth consecutive year.
“The impact of EASSI has led to significant energy savings, deep investments into buildings and infrastructure, and a highly connected nonprofit and business community motivated to make South Bend sustainable and resilient,” said Alex Bazán, Director of Sustainability.
The EASSI program is a partnership between the City of South Bend, IFF, and CDFI Friendly South Bend Region and aids nonprofits and businesses in energy-related projects.
The project generated $3.6 million in combined public and private investments.
