SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame athletes had the chance to prove their skills in front of scouts from all 32 NFL teams back on March 27.

Some of the standout performers included tight end Mitchell Evans, who improved on a number of his totals from the NFL combine, and linebacker Jack Kiser, who’s 40-time would’ve cracked the top 10 at his position at the combine.

Quarterback Riley Leonard also had the chance to show off his passing skills, specifically the deep ball, in a scripted 15-minute run-through of Notre Dame’s passing offense.

Projected second-round pick Xavier Watts clocked a 4.56 40-time at the event and said he was “satisfied” with his performance. Watts also said he was looking to prove his speed in front of NFL scouts in attendance.

Also attending the event was Super Bowl-winning Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin and Colts first-year coach Shane Steichen.

Day one of the NFL draft is set for Thursday, April 24 in Green Bay, Wis.
