CULVER, Ind. -- The 41st Annual Culver Lake Festival returned this morning with a parade to celebrate the 3-day event. The festival is the community's biggest economic booster, attracting many visitors and supporting local businesses to celebrate the 41-year-old tradition of bringing people together and boosting local economic activity.
The festival was founded in 1984 by the Economic Development Commission and spearheaded by Roy Shepered.
The festival features fireworks over Lake Max, a car show sponsored by Plymotuh O'Reilly, along with a free throw contest and various bands, entertainment, and food.
