35-year-old Benton Harbor man killed in Mishawaka on Monday night
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Mishawaka Police responded to a shooting that took place in the 500 block of East 12th Street on Monday just before 7:10 pm. When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old Benton Harbor man dead.
The victim has been identified as Rodney Driver, who suffered an apparent gunshot wound.
Police located several people who were inside the apartment during the shooting, including a person of interest.
Witnesses and the person of interest were transported to the Mishawaka Police Department for questioning.
The Mishawaka Police Detective Bureau is handling this investigation. There is no concern for public safety, according to officers.
An autopsy is scheduled for Driver in Kalamazoo this week.
