(CNN)—2021 was a year of deadly weather extremes. As the west battled un-relenting drought and dozens of wildfires, the east faced too much rain that triggered unprecedented flooding. CNN’s Chris Nguyen takes a look at the back-to-back weather events that caused so much damage.
