2 arrested for possession of methamphetamine, among other charges, after traffic stop

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – Deputies conducted a traffic stop, which lead to the arrest of the driver and passenger for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, among other charges, according to the St. Joseph County, Mich. Office of the Sheriff.

That traffic stop happened on Thursday around 8:16 pm at Klinger Lake Road, near Scattered Acres Lane.

Deputies originally pulled them over for a defective equipment violation. However, deputies found 21 grams of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and a handgun inside the vehicle.  

The driver was identified as a 25-year-old woman from Centreville. Her passenger was identified as a 40-year-old man also from Centreville. Deputies have not released their names.

They were arrested for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, carry of a concealed weapon, felony firearm and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police officers.
