Vehicle, garage damaged in Constantine fire

CONSTANTINE, Mich. – A vehicle and garage were damaged in a vehicle fire early Tuesday morning, the Constantine Fire Department reported.

At 2:13 a.m., a 911 call came in reporting a vehicle fire inside an attached garage in the 15000 block of North Northpark Road in Constantine Township.

Crews on scene discovered the vehicle’s engine area was on the fire and the flames were spreading through the interior of the vehicle and into the garage rafters.

The fire was put out quickly and contained to the garage.

The vehicle was completely damaged.

The garage sustained some heat, water, and smoke damage and the interior of the house suffered light smoke damage from the door being opened.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No one was injured.
