SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A Rally and March for Life was held in South Bend on Friday. Hundreds of people walked from the Knights of Columbus on Washington Street to the federal building on S. Main Street downtown.
Father Glenn Kohrman of St. Joseph County Right to Life says he wants to spread the pro-life message without violence.
"We want to do it peacefully with love, compassion. understanding. We need to be cultural warriors. But not using violence or hatred but love truth and goodness and joy. To pursue the good the true and the beautiful. That's what we try to encourage our kids to do and recognize how precious life is," Kohrman said.
"I march because we are all made in the image and likeness of God from the moment of our conception in our mother's womb and that includes the mothers. The mothers who our purpose is to nurture the life within them. Abortion is bad for women. And obviously it is bad for the unborn child," Jeanette Burdell said.
The rally was followed by a prayer from community pastors.
