Investigators have identified a woman who died Wednesday morning in a crash on state road 19 north of county road 28.
The Elkhart County sheriff’s department says the victim is Erika Guadalupe Robles Arriaga, 27, of Elkhart, died
.A second person was hurt, and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
The crash happened just before 5 a.m.
Investigators say a car heading northbound collided with a car going south.
The driver of the first car died from their injuries.
Investigators have not released the victim’s name.
The sheriff's department says the debris from the crash struck and damaged a third vehicle that was traveling northbound on SR 19.
Drivers are being encouraged to avoid the area.
