DOWAGIAC, Mich - The city of Dowagiac is looking to add more businesses, parks, and housing in the next couple of years, and one of those new local projects is Nitrozone, which had their grand opening Wednesday.
The city hopes it will diversify what Dowagiac has to offer and attract new people.
Nitrozone offers laser tag, arcade games, bowling, a mini rollercoaster, and more.
The owner of Nitrozone, John Tiffany has been studying the entertainment business for about eight years and saw a void in Dowagiac.
“There's not a ton to do especially after seven, eight o'clock at night, there's not much to do and if that continues to happen, the kids get into bad stuff and we want to avoid that, so we are very blessed here, we got about 60 employees and we're looking forward to having a good time and bringing fun to the community,” said Tiffany.
Tiffany says the target age range for the new entertainment hub is between 15 and 45.
The chamber of commerce is hoping this will help the community further invest in small businesses.
