One found dead after fire crews extinguish car fire

Emergency crews were dispatched to a fire near the intersection of Tabor Road and River Road in Sodus Township, Michigan.

The incident happened Saturday around 7:45 p.m.

When crews arrived, they saw a vehicle had run off the road and was fully engulfed in flames.

The vehicle ran into rolled irrigation lines which caused damage to the front of the vehicle.

Once fire crews put out the flames, a body was found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
