Washington High School lockdown lifted

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Washington High School in South Bend was under lockdown Thursday after a threat was discovered in one of the restrooms, according to the South Bend Community School Corporation.

A message that included a bomb threat was discovered in a restroom, according to Sue Coney, Director of Communications for SBCSC.

The threat was taken seriously and the school was placed on lockdown while the building was searched.

After determining there was no credibility to the threat, the lockdown was lifted.

All parent-teacher conferences and after-school activities will be held as scheduled.
