WASHINGTON COUNTY Ind. – Tonight an autopsy confirmed the identity for three victims in a Southern Indiana triple homicide.
The Indiana State Police are leading the investigation.
Troopers say that a mother, father and son were found dead in their home Sunday. The main suspect, Richard Burton, was found dead in his car Monday morning.
Today, police announced that Danny Newlin, 59, Kelley Newlin, 42, and Austin Newlin, 15, all died from gunshot wounds.
At this point in the investigation Burton is the only suspect. Authorities say he was living with the family at the time of the murders.
Police have not released Burton’s cause of death, but did say they believe he was trying to leave the state.
