’Empower Women’ fundraiser raises money for local charity
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Inn at Saint Mary's received a large Christmas delivery on Tuesday, of what may be the largest Christmas tree in Indiana.
The 87-foot tree was cut from a local home where it had to be cut down due to overpowering, said Kim Allsop, the General Manager of the Inn at Saint Mary's.
Allsop says the tree's arrival to its new home, the Inn at Saint Mary's, is a big deal for the community.
"It's become a tradition. [...] We started in 2019 and COVID. This is our fourth year and every year it gets bigger and bigger," she said.
Allsop invites the public to the official tree lighting ceremony which will take place on December 7, at 6:30 p.m.
