Student accused of taking BB gun to school, four students struck by pellets

Four students were struck by BB pellets after a student took a BB gun to Dickinson Fine Arts Academy on Thursday.

The principal sent a letter to parents explaining what happened.

While students were gathered in the gym before school started, four students were hit by BB pellets.

School administrators were notified about the incident later in the day and the school was immediately placed on lockdown.

During the lockdown, several student lockers were searched until the BB gun was located.

The weapon was given to law enforcement.

A sweep of all lockers was also conducted, but no additional weapons were found.

School officials say the students are facing disciplinary action.
