GOSHEN, IN – Friday’s storms in Michiana sent trees, power lines and utility poles down in Goshen.
According to Elkhart County dispatch they received hundreds of calls and a majority of them were weather related.
“It was kind of exciting for a brief while, the wind came up and the trees were whipping and it was kind of scary” Janelle Thomas of Goshen said.
Wind toppled trees on County Road 15 and County Road 30 that left the intersection for hours.
With more rain expected this weekend power crews are actively working to restore power to the area
