South Bend Police release names of victims in Laurel Woods double homicide

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department has released the names of the victims involved in Saturday's double homicide.
Jamie Binns, 28, and Samantha Lawson, 29, both of Niles, died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both of their families have been notified.
Police were originally called to the scene of Laurel Woods Apartments on Saturday morning around 2 a.m.
When they arrived, they found the two victims dead.
The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is now handling the investigation.
