South Bend Police investigating possible assault after finding vehicle upside down

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Police were called to a vehicle crash and possible assault around 1:45 p.m. on Friday in the 800 block of North Lafayette Boulevard.

Authorities described the incident as "unusual", when upon arrival, officers found a vehicle on its roof in a parking lot.

Police say their initial investigation suggests a dispute happened between two drivers that might have led to the crash.

Documents state one driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation, while the other driver was uninjured.

The incident remains under investigation.
