A system starts moving into Michiana tonight, bringing us system snowfall that will last until the late morning of Sunday. Then, lake effect snow will develop by the early afternoon, pushing eastward throughout the afternoon and evening. Most of Michiana will receive 1-3 inches of snow by late Sunday night. Higher totals of up to 5 inches are possible in spots that receive the most lake effect snow. The winter weather advisory is in effect for Berrien, Cass, LaPorte and St. Josephcounties tonight at 11PM until 9PM Sunday, mainly because lake effect snow will be heavy at times, causing low visibility.
Another system moves in Monday evening lasting into early Tuesday morning, bringing another 1-4 inches of snow accumulation.
Tonight: Snow moves in. Moderate to heavy at times. Low of 28.
Sunday: System snow throughout the morning, and L.E. snow in the afternoon. Early morning high of 30 and falling throughout the day.
Monday: Mostly sunny AM with increasing clouds. Snow moving in during the evening. Highs near 20.
