As yesterday's winter storm continues to move off to our northeast, we are stuck with wet snow showers / wintry mix enhanced by lake effect throughout much of the morning. Temperatures near and slightly above freezing will hinder much snow accumulation, but we should still see enough - especially in northern Michiana - to leave a coating on the roads. Expect breezy winds gusting up to 30 mph early in the day, starting to calm this afternoon. Most of the afternoon will bring temperatures near freezing and cloudy skies. Snow showers return late tonight into early tomorrow morning, the second half of Thursday is dry again. Friday into Saturday brings more active weather with the increasing likelihood of a strong winter storm featuring snow totals over 4 inches and gusty winds. Temperatures plumet by the end of the weekend with bitter cold setting in for next week.
Today: AM snow showers. Temperatures falling from 35.
Tonight: Snow showers late. Low 28.
Thursday: AM snow showers. High 34.
Friday: Rain/snow, windy. High 35.
