Semi driver and his dog uninjured in fire

South Haven Area Emergency Services fought an engine fire in a semi Thursday morning, according to a Facebook post.

The fire happened around 7:45 a.m. at the I-196 rest area in Casco Township, according to firefighters.

The driver told firefighters he had just pulled into the rest area when he saw flames in the engine area.

The driver and his dog escaped without injury.
