Police investigating a truck crashing into house in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. – A truck crashed into a house at the 2300 block of Mather Avenue in Elkhart Thursday evening, according to Elkhart Dispatch.

Elkhart dispatch received a call for the crash at 8:59 p.m.

Police removed multiple vehicles from the scene but only one truck crashed into the house. 

According to Elkhart Police, a Ford F-350 and a Chevy F10 went off the road which caused one of the trucks to crash into the house.

The driver, a male, of the F10 allegedly fled the scene.

The third vehicle on the scene belonged to a driver who approached the scene. Police arrested the third driver for Operating while Intoxicated.

Dispatch did receive a call of gunshots fired on Capital Boulevard, nearly three blocks from the scene.

No injuries were reported from the shooting or the crash.
