ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Officials are still searching for the suspect in a reported police chase that ended on State Road 2 near Quince Road.

Law enforcement received the call at approximately 9:37 p.m.

A La Porte County deputy found the suspect had active warrants during a traffic stop, prompting the driver to flee the scene lead police on a chase into St. Joseph County. 

Police activated the K9 unit after the chase from U.S. 20 stopped near Quince Road and ran on foot into a wooded area.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 50s, last seen wearing a green T-shirt.

Officials ended the search around 11:15 p.m.

The suspect is still on the run.
