Police asking for help with potential homicide in Benton Township

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Benton Township Police officers were looking for a missing person in the 900 block of E. Empire on Sunday when they discovered the deceased body of an 80-year-old man.

"The circumstances around this are suspicious in nature and is being investigated as a homicide," the department said in a release. "Out of respect for the family, the victim’s name is not being released at this time."
