UPDATE: At 10:53 a.m. the South Bend Police Department announced that further investigation of the shooting indicates this incident to be a firearm accident and will not be classified as a criminally assaulted shooting. The individual who was shot has non-life-threatening injuries.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One person is injured after a shooting near Prosper Apartments. Police were first called to the 1600 block of Rue de Ville Monday night around 11:30 p.m.
Police believe the shooting actually happened south of the apartments in the 600 block of S. 30th Street.
ABC57 is told the injuries are non-life threatening. No suspects are named as the Violent Crimes Unit is now investigating.
