ELKHART, In -- The Elkhart county Sheriff's department is investigating the stabbing that took place today at Overkook apartments.
About 1:25 Thursday morning the Sheriff's department received a call about a stabbing at overlook apartments just south of Elkhart.
When the officers arrived the 24-year old female victim was allegedly stabbed by the suspect Joshua crew.
Crew allegedly stole her car after the stabbing and fled.
Crew and the vehicle that was reported stolen were found in Berrien Springs Michigan
Crew was arrested and he's facing multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a crash
The victim was taken to south bend memorial hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries
A neighbor at overlook apartments Yvonne Hunter-Matthews says her concern is with the victim
“I'll be praying for the individual that got hurt, My prayers are with them” says Yvonne-Hunter-Matthews of Overlook apartments.
The suspect Joshua crew is in the Berrien county jail where local charges in Elkhart county are still pending.
