Notre Dame gets first win of the season over Navy in Ireland, 42-3

Notre Dame kicked off their season today at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

The Irish were led by transfer quarterback Sam Hartman for a win over Navy Midshipmen with a final score of 42-3. 

Hartman threw four touchdown passes in his Notre Dame debut.

Navy avoided a shutout when Navy's Evan Warran kicked a 30-yard field goal with 3:37 left to play.

This makes it the Irish's 6th straight win over Navy.
