Mishawaka Police Department are investigating an early-morning shooting

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The Mishawaka Police Department are investigating an early-morning shooting in the 400 block of West Jefferson Boulevard.
The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. EST.
Once officials arrived on-scene, they discovered a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but officials believe it was an isolated incident.
