Michigan State's Riley Bullough has ties to Notre Dame

EAST LANSING, Mich. -

Both Notre Dame and Michigan State football teams are preparing for the matchup this Saturday. ABC57's Allison Hayes headed to East Lansing to see how prepared they are.

Riley Bullough is a senior linebacker for the Spartans defense and he will play a key role for Michigan State as they try to beat Notre Dame this week.

While most people know that the Bullough name is synonymous here in East Lansing with success.

His brother, father, grandfather and uncle were all huge stars at Michigan State.

What few know is he has a connection to Notre Dame. On the other side of his family, his grandfather and uncle both played at Notre Dame and his mother went to school there.

"Growing up we were Notre Dame fans as well as Michigan State fans. You know one week we would be going down there for a game and the next week we would be up here down there. So you know to be able to go down there and play great football and get a win would mean the world to this team and to me," said Bullough.
