Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declares state of emergency in Southwest Michigan

MGN CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency for Cass County, St. Joseph County, Kalamazoo County, and Branch County.
Whitmer made the announcement via Twitter/X and Facebook. All four counties have sustained storm damage after a severe storm system passed through Tuesday afternoon.
