Michigan Congressman Dan Kildee joins the "March for Our Lives"
While “March for Our Lives” events are being held all over the nation, Michigan Congressman Dank Kildee was in Saginaw and Flint to support events in his district.
Congressman Kildee is the Representative for Michigan’s 5th congressional district, and has held that title since 2013. Kildee is a member of the Michigan Democratic Party.
The “March for Our Lives” events organized throughout the country were created and led by students after tragedy struck Parkland, Florida when 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz shot and killed 17 students and faculty members of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The first event Congressman Kildee attended was at 11:00 a.m. at Krossroads Park in Saginaw. Kildee made statements shortly before heading to Flint.
While in Flint, Kildee headed to the Willson Park event held at 12:30 p.m. to address the crowds as a spokesman for Congress to pass commonsense gun reform laws that will protect students and community members from gun violence.
