SOUTH BEND, Ind. - St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating a deadly shooting that happened late Sunday night in South Bend.
It happened just before 11 p.m. on the 2100 block of Bertrand Street, approximately five blocks east of Kennedy Park.
Investigators have identified the victim as Arthur Lattimore.
"People are afraid for their lives. We don't want to come outside because of the guns," said Joshua Jamerson, the cousin of the victim. "I think that they should just take the guns away, and I think the world could be a better place without guns."
SJCMHU spent five hours looking over evidence on the scene.
A suspect has not been identified.
