Man arrested for fondling himself inside downtown parking garage

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A man was arrested for public indecency for allegedly fondling himself in the lobby of a parking garage in downtown South Bend Thursday morning.

South Bend Police were dispatched for complaints a man was fondling himself in the lobby of the parking garage at the corner of N. Main and W. Colfax just before 8 a.m.

When the first officer arrived, the officer saw a man in the lobby matching the description of the suspect. The man had his hands down his pants, police said.

Antone Mayfield was arrested on a preliminary charge of public indecency.

He has previously been convicted of public indecency in six separate incidents. The incidents happened in September 2016, October 2016 and July 2017.
