ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana May primary is less than a week away.
Current Indiana Lt. Gov., Suzanne Crouch, made a local stop Wednesday as part of the Republican race for the governor's office.
Crouch is one of six GOP candidates on the primary ballot, including former Indiana Attorney General, Curtis Hill of Elkhart, and current U.S. Senator Mike Braun.
Crouch said, "I'm the only candidate that is talking about eliminating a tax. And I want to lead the fight to eliminate the state income tax. We're going to axe the tax! You know, we can put thousands of dollars back into Hoosiers' pockets at a time when they really need it."
Crouch has served under current Governor Eric Holcomb, who is being term limited out after eight years.
Of the six Republican candidates, Braun is currently leading in a recent ABC/538 poll, jumping up 10 percent after he was recently endorsed by former President, Donald Trump.
