Quiet, hot first half of today; storms this evening
We'll see some areas of patchy dense fog this morning, but can look forward to things clearing up with some sunshine on the way this afternoon. Highs will be rising into the low 40's this afternoon, our last "warm" day of 2023 before we cool down for the last day of the year. New Years Eve brings cooler with temperatures topping out in the mid 30's and lake effect snow showers on the way. With soil temperatures still in the upper 30's, we won't see lasting accumulation, but it could make for some slushy/slick spots on the roads for New Years Eve night, mainly closer to the lakeshore. Snow showers taper off as we start the new year, Monday brings partly cloudy skies and highs still in the mid 30's. We'll stay in the 30's but still slightly above average for the first week of 2024, the forecast for the most part stays dry.
Today: Partly cloudy. High 42.
Tonight: Cloudy. Low 30.
Sunday: Snow showers. High 35.
Monday: Partly cloudy. High 36.
