Lake Michigan College to host discussion on Artificial Intelligence, how it impacts humanity

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Lake Michigan College invites the public to a discussion about the implications of AI on creativity and the human experience, featuring multiple expert speakers.

The discussion will take place on March 21, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room (L-311) at the Benton Harbor campus.

The discussion will touch on AI's continued advancement in becoming more integrated into our daily lives.

Organizers say it's crucial to explore AI's capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.

They add that the discussion will delve into how AI may shape the future of creativity and its possible impact on aspects of the human experience.

The event is free and will feature three speakers, including Brandon Pierce, Art Faculty at Lake Michigan College, Japhy Bartlett, Former CTO of a San Francisco AI Startup, and Mark Huston, Chair of Philosophy at Schoolcraft College.

Organizers say attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the discussion and ask questions.
