Sunny skies and warmer highs: quiet weather ahead
The lake effect snow has begun to develop northern Michiana this morning. It could create for slick roads for the morning commute so give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes if you live around South Bend, Elkhart and north. Lake effect snow continues through the afternoon before tapering off. Some areas could see 1-3" in Berrien, Cass and northern St. Joseph county but most will be closer to 1".
There will be some clearing this evening and tonight which will allow temperatures to drop into the middle teens by early tomorrow morning. Friday is much calmer with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the low 30s. More snow is expected on Saturday which could leave quite a few with a coating of white.

Tonight: Some clearing, low 16.
Friday: Partly cloudy, high of 32.
Saturday: Snow showers, highs near 30.
