Kalamazoo woman faces several meth-related charges in Cass County

DOWAGIAC, Mich. – A Kalamazoo woman was arrested on several meth-related charges Thursday after deputies received a tip.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies of the Drug Enforcement Team were advised that a woman was coming from Kalamazoo to sell meth.

The woman’s vehicle was found in a parking lot in the 600 block of North Front Street later on that day.

Deputies made contact with those in the vehicle and detained two men. The woman was detained as she was exiting a nearby store.

Officials report security footage allegedly showed the woman running to the store’s restroom when she noticed law enforcement near her vehicle.

While deputies searched the store’s bathroom the next day, they pulled a bag of methamphetamine and syringes from the toilet.

According to CCSO, the 32-year-old woman was arrested on charges of conspiracy to deliver meth, possession with intent to deliver meth, and destruction of evidence.

The woman’s name has not yet been released.
