MICHIANA— Jill Donnelly encouraged everyone to get out and vote this week.
"It's a civic duty I fell and I hope people understand that every vote matters,” said Jill Donnelly. “Everybody has a voice. It's so important to get out and exercise."
Jill Donnelly is wife of Democratic U.S. Senate incumbent Joe Donnelly who will be seeking re-election this November.
A reminder that absentee voting is happening in both Indiana and Michigan.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot in Indiana is Oct. 29 and in Michigan it is Saturday, Nov. 3.
Completed ballots must arrive back to officials by election day on Nov.6.
Voters can mail it back or drop it off at a local clerk's office in person.
