Rainy pattern begins Tuesday
There is an Air Quality Alert in effect for LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Berrien and Cass counties today. Ozone levels are expected to be unhealthy for those in the sensitive group.
The hot and sunny weather continues today with humidity on the rise. Highs top out in the low 90s today and tomorrow with the heat index in the mid to upper 90s. There is a slight chance for a pop up shower late this evening but much of the day remains dry. Tuesday starts out partly cloudy but clouds increase in the afternoon with a couple showers and storms possible in the evening. Wednesday brings much needed rain as scattered showers and storms move through the region with highs in the upper 80s.
