High-flow event no longer in effect at Buchanan Dam

BUCHANAN, Mich. – After declaring a high-flow event at Buchanan Reservoir, Indiana Michigan Power has since cancelled the declaration thanks to decreased flows and lower pond elevations.

The company says no other high water emergencies were declared for any of the other five hydro-electric dams operated by I&M.

All dams are functioning as engineered to but will continue to be monitored as more rain is expected Friday.
