Firefighter taken to hospital with minor injuries after house fire

MISHAWAKA, Ind.—A firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries that were sustained while fighting flames in a home on Chestnut Street early Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the fire started around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The one person who was in the home got out safely along with two dogs and two cats.
Mishawaka Fire Department says the firefighter who was injured during the call is expected to be okay.
