Driver on toll road arrested after allegedly driving 135 mph

LAGRANGE, Ind. -- An Indiana State Police trooper arrested a driver who was allegedly driving nearly twice the speed limit.

Just before 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, a trooper in the median near the 112 mile marker saw a white Chevy Malibu approaching at a very high rate of speed, reports said.

The trooper's radar showed 120 mph, reports said.

The trooper pulled out behind the driver and attempted to catch up to the Malibu.

The Trooper caught up to the vehicle and paced it at 135 mph, reports said.

A traffic stop was conducted in the area of the 122 mile marker.

The driver, 33-year-old Kevin Fisher, of Windsor, New York, was arrested on a preliminary charge of reckless driving.
