Deputies rescue man from water in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Alcohol is believed to be involved in water accident at Big Twin Lake Thursday evening.

The Cass County Sherriff’s Department says deputies responded to the call at aproximently 7:10 p.m. after residents said they heard yelling for help.

The victim was 55-year-old Chester Gleason from Dowagiac.

Deputies say they arrived on the scene with first responders and pulled Gleason from the water onto a pontoon boat. Gleason was transported to Borgess Lee for evaluation.

The incident is still under investigation.
