KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- One person died and two others were injured in a crash early Friday morning near CR 1350 North and 500 West, southeast of Nappanee.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene around 4:45 a.m.
Deputies said the driver of a Honda Accord, 56-year-old Mario Gonzalez, turned from 500 West onto CR 1350 North in the path of an eastbound Ford van driven by 28-year-old Alan Stutzman.
The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The van rolled onto its side and continued eastbound and struck a westbound Ford 150 driven by 26-year-old Timothy Vanover of Warsaw.
Gonzalez was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Stutzman was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne where he is in serious condition.
Vanover was pronounced dead at the scene.
