With conference play on the horizon, Notre Dame's star forward Bonzie Colson is riding one of his best stretches to date.
The ACC's Preseason Player of the Year was named the conference's Player of the Week following two strong performances to close out the non-league schedule.
Colson averaged 26.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in the two Irish victories last week. He tallied a career-high 37 points in the win over Dartmouth, and added his eighth double-double of the season against Southeastern Louisiana with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Colson also averaged three blocks per game in the two wins.
This honor is the third time Colson has been named the ACC Player of the Week in his career. Both of those came last season.
Notre Dame will begin conference play this week, hosting Georgia Tech on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Purcell Pavilion.
